The Dewalt DCG409 is part of the Flexvolt Advantage range of 18v tools. Flexvolt Advantage tools are designed to identify Flexvolt batteries when in use and draw a higher current than a normal 18v machine is capable of. This in conjunction with the high power density brushless motor allows for more power and efficiency.
